The Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL), along with the Airport Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and Tourism Trinidad Limited, attended the Routes World Forum 2022 in La Vegas, USA from October 16-18.

The World Routes Forum is an annual event that brings together airlines, airports authorities, tour operators and other key aviation decision makers. It is also dedicated to route development and strategic planning in the aviation industry, attracting attendance from tourism boards showcasing destinations located across the globe.

These organizations maximize the event's platform for driving significant economic growth within a region, often working with their airport partners such as the Airport Authority of Trinidad and Tobago to present compelling route development business cases to airlines.  Routes World Forum sees up to 72% Senior Management delegates or above attend within the Tourism industry.

TTAL was able to gain exclusive insight from airline CEOs and industry heavyweights as they discussed the current state of the industry and the actions that must be taken to continue to stimulate post-Covid recovery.

TTAL’s Executive Chairman, Ms. Alicia Edwards noted:
“As TTAL continues to work towards finding best practice solutions for the airlift and connectivity issues that limit our tourism industry’s growth potential, this conference allowed us to be in the room with airlines, airports, aviation consultants and all other important players in the industry that can guide us in the right direction in promoting Destination Tobago.”
The Routes Forum facilitates Air Service Development – the systemic approach by airports and associated stakeholders to increase air-lift to a destination via airport and destination marketing.
