As part of a Trinidad and Tobago Delegation, the Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL) made Destination Tobago presence acknowledged in the regional cruise tourism landscape by attending this year’s Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Conference in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic - from October 11 to 14.
The FCCA Conference is designed to foster a better understanding of the inner workings of the cruise industry and helps attendees improve their cruise tourism business. Through a specialized forum that blends meeting and workshops with social events, TTAL’s representatives were able to develop relationship with, promote products to, and learn from approximately 100 executives from the FCCA Member Lines who decide where ships call, what is sold and used on-board and how to invest in destinations and infrastructure.
TTAL’s Board Member, Mr. Orville Dillon, interacted with cruise executives during a series of meetings, a Heads of Government Forum that joined Ministers of Tourism throughout the regions with Presidents and leaders from FCCA Member Lines, and other networking functions throughout the event - including the celebration of FCCA’s 50th anniversary.

With the Redesign of Scarborough as a priority for the new Tobago House of Assembly (THA) administration, the Scarborough port comes into sharp focus and the Tobago Tourism Agency Limited is preparing to harness the potential from cruise business across the region.

The FCCA Cruise Conference, is the only official cruise conference representing the Caribbean, Mexico and Central and South America.
