The Tobago Jazz Experience Returns!

Posted Mar 31, 2023

Tobago's attractions are abundant—from the lush green forest reserve to cascading waterfalls that make for the Caribbean's most majestic hikes, to the tasty rum punches best enjoyed on sandy beaches at sunset. But if you need one more reason to put this island on your must-visit list this year, the island's largest music festival is returning after a three-year hiatus. That means you can enjoy a unique mix of spellbinding musical performances set against some of the Caribbean's most majestic backdrops, mixed with island vibes, and mouthwatering cuisine.

The festival has attracted stars such as Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Miguel, J Cole, Wyclef Jean and Grace Jones. Music lovers converge every April to experience jazz, world music, cultural heritage, and local culinary delights against the island's tropical canvas.

Promising much more than music, the festival spans from April 20th to 23rd and transports music lovers to various scenic locations on the island like Speyside and Mount Irvine Bay.

Three Melodious Nights

Gospel Night, April 20th, opens the music festival with the gospel sounds of Jonathan Nelson, Samuel Medas, Positive, Blessed Messenger and more, resonating throughout the Shaw Park Cultural Complex.

On Saturday, April 22nd leads you to the Speyside Recreational Grounds at sunset where the teal and orange sky forms the background of reggae, soca and Caribbean music at Speyside Jazz. With performances from Richie Spice, Everton Blender, KMC, Sekon Sta, SuperBlue, Ronnie McIntosh, Gardah Knight and many more.

International Night on April 23rd features Grammy Award winners' Boyz II Men and Koffee, as well as performances from Theron Shaw, Tony Paul, Vaughnette Bigford, Tobago’s very own Sharon Phillips, and many more. For ticketing and other event information, visit the Tobago Jazz Experience website.
