Safe Travels Tourism Businesses

Tobago’s #SafeTravels businesses say:

I believe that the world has changed fundamentally, and as much as we all want it to go back to the way it was, there are now new standards that businesses will be judged by.

The Safe Travels initiative is a great stepping off point in embracing this new standard. It will assist businesses in providing a framework to stay competitive and show our customers that we are focused on their safety. [TTAL's health and safety manual] offers great guidelines for businesses to improve their health and safety standards.

Ted Greig safe travels
Ted Greig, Ted's Sunshine Ent & Tours

As a responsible stakeholder, I view this initiative as mandatory not only for the safety of Tobago’s visitors but, also for the safety of our staff and family. It will certainly assist us in our continued efforts not only to promote our services individually, but also collectively as a destination.

Having the approved Safe Travels Stamp endorsed by WHO and WTTC certainly sends a strong signal to the world that destination Tobago has demonstrated that level of responsibility that is required to regain the trust and confidence from our visitors.

Jason Radix Safe travels
Jason Radix, Eureka Natural History Tours

Throughout my 29 years within the Tourism Industry I've always agreed with and been supportive initiatives to improve and standardize the quality of services we offer. Acquiring this stamp will also indicate my compliance in improving my service delivery during the time of COVID-19.

My business is heavily featured online through my website and social media platforms; this "Safe Travels" stamp will be added to these sites to further my online credibility and show compliance to international safety standards.

Belle Viste Safe travels
Charisse Libert, Belle Viste Apartments

Belle Viste Apartments is committed to providing a clean, safe and friendly environment for our staff and guests especially during this time of uncertainty.

TTAL's Health and Safety Manual and Safe Travels initiative are very important in helping us achieve our commitment to our guests.

Nalini Galbaransingh
Nalini Galbaransingh, Waves Restaurant and Bar

This initiative is extremely important and relevant to our industry in the COVID-19 era of our lives. In an ever-changing space, we need brand recognition that guests and staff can refer to and find a level of comfort and confidence in order to visit, stay, fly, dine and lounge.

We will be using the stamp on our online media platforms, sales and promotional material, and as part of our training - anything that helps to spread the word of the initiative and what we are doing to have a safe place for guests and staff alike.
