Meet Jano Bishop, Director and Manager of the TTTIC certified property, B's Guesthouse
Posted Aug 29, 2024
Ensuring the safety and comfort of guests are paramount. These are among the reasons for Jano Bishop’s continued support and participation in the Trinidad and Tobago Tourism Industry Certification (TTTIC) Programme. As the national quality assurance programme for the tourism industry, TTTIC assesses whether tourism operators meet national tourism quality standards and thus provides a level of assurance to visitors that certified tourism operators have achieved minimum acceptable levels of service in their operations.
Having maintained his TTTIC certification since 2019, Jano Bishop, Director and Manager of B's Guest House shares with us his thoughts and experience with the programme.
When were you first introduced to the TTTIC programme and how has it improved your operations?
I was introduced to TTTIC in 2019. The programme raised my awareness about the importance of having a system for guest arrival registration and safety checks on the compound including the emergency evacuation plan.
How has TTTIC added credibility to your business?
TTTIC added credibility to my business by granting us a Certificate of Registration for Accommodation providers, whereby our customers are assured that our guesthouse meets the approval to be of service to the public.
Why do you think visitors should seek services from business with TTTIC?
Customers should seek services from TTTIC tourism operators because all tourism requirement standards are achieved during the audit process.
Would you recommend this programme to others?
I will recommend this programme to others guesthouses due to the guidance by the Audit Team to bring my business to a high standard that all customers reviews are excellent.
