#LoveTobago: Incredible Beaches
Posted Oct 08, 2021
Who else is dreaming of that picture-perfect beach backdrop for their perfect day? In Tobago, we love a beach wedding, and there are a variety of beaches to choose from to help you make your wedding truly unforgettable.
Say “I Do” directly on the beach or book a venue overlooking the ocean – it’s up to you!
For that perfect beach wedding, we recommend these locations:
Castara Bay
Castara Bay is a hidden gem on our unspoilt North West coast – with a stunning backdrop of blue ocean and white sands, it’s no wonder that it is a popular location for weddings and vow renewals. Wedding packages can be booked through Castara Retreats who will help plan your perfect wedding on the beach.
Pigeon Point
Award-winning white-sand beaches, a thatched-roof jetty and a new Heritage Pavilion provide an enchanting setting at Pigeon Point. The Pigeon Point Pavilion is a popular choice for weddings as it’s a quieter part of the heritage park. What you can also expect are blue skies, a lively ambience and enchanting sunsets – it’s truly heavenly!
With a long strip of white-sand shoreline, there is enough space for you and your partner to find a quiet and untouched spot so you can relax in peace.
Tyrell Bay
Tyrell Bay is located in Speyside and is considered popular with wedding parties due to the gorgeous location. It is also close to the iconic Blue Waters Inn Resort, which offers a variety of different spots for your big day – directly on the beach, in a private jetty gazebo on the water, or on the bungalow lawn facing the horizon.
For honeymoons, take advantage of Blue Waters’ infinity pool for a well-earned relaxation after the wedding or spend your days exploring – Tyrell Bay is known for it’s excellent diving and birdwatching!
Mt. Irvine Bay
A tale of two beaches, Mount Irvine Bay is split by an outcropping of rocks and offers two distinct experiences. One half of the beach is maintained by the Mount Irvine Beach Hotel and boasts calm waters perfect for swimming with your partner on your honeymoon or even with your wedding party on your big day!
This beach is also located close to Mount Irvine Bay Resort, which can be used as a venue for your big day or can be booked for for an extra special honeymoon.
Englishman’s Bay
This secluded crescent-shaped beach on the leeward coast is considered one of the island’s most beautiful. Its white sands are edged with a thick tangle of rainforest and the bay feels wonderfully remote – and there is a chance you could have it all to yourself and your wedding party for a truly exclusive experience.
For honeymoons, you can take advantage of the clear ocean for a spot of swimming or simply relax on the shore – Englishman’s Bay is also surrounded by lush rainforest which is ideal for a couple’s hike before you head back to your hotel!
